Eva Ebbing was a PhD candidate under the joint supervision of Maarten Bijlsma and Hanneke van Laarhoven. Her work addressed the resistance mechanisms that contribute to poor response to currently available treatments against esophageal cancer. She defended her PhD thesis on April 6, 2018.
